This next post is dedicated to Virgil Abloh, a remarkable individual who has contributed so much to fashion, design, and most importantly, to our culture. In addition to opening doors for many young, black people in the industry, he inspired me to achieve my own ‘firsts’. In fact, I remember how proud I was when he became the artistic director of Louis Vuitton. That day, he made history, and now he’s left behind a powerful legacy that will live on forever. My thoughts are with his family and friends during these trying times. He will be missed.

To present pieces from their Cruise Spring-Summer 2022 collection, Louis Vuitton recently held an evening fashion show in London—and I was there! As this was the brand’s first-ever fashion show held in London, it was an amazing honor to be personally invited by them to attend. So, on November 18th, I headed to their venue at 18 Hanover Square to go and check it out…

Before the grand event, I spent the day getting ready with the help of my incredible team. The wonderful Mahina made me feel super glamorous with her incredible makeup skills (as per usual). Meanwhile, The Snobb got to work on my hair, styling the sleek Ombre Kylie Jenner wig from the Good Hair store. Lastly, photographer Bevon Burke and videographer Kunai Lester captured the process for my socials.

Of course, I couldn’t turn up to the event without repping some beautiful LV clothes. I paired a form-fitting, ribbed knit cardigan with a matching skirt. Both of these pieces featured a trumpet-shaped silhouette, adding a touch of fun to an otherwise elegant look. I then added LV’s iconic star trail ankle boots and a black baguette bag to complete the outfit. Perfect.

In good spirits, I arrived at the venue around 7.30 pm and was greeted with a welcome cocktail (don’t mind if I do!) and French canapés. The LV fashion show commenced at 8.45 pm. It was great to see some incredible pieces from the collection in motion; a real treat for the eyes.

Once the show finished, I stayed at the venue for the afterparty to enjoy some extra drinks, live entertainment and socializing. The crowd did not disappoint. While enjoying the lively atmosphere, I had the chance to mingle with some wonderful people. I even got to meet the CEO of LVMH, Mr. Bernard Arnault himself! It was a memorable night that I won’t be forgetting about anytime soon.

Thanks for the great time LV. Your first London fashion show was incredible. Come back soon!
