Hey guys! It’s been a while hasn’t it? But don’t worry, I’m back with some amazing news to share with you all. Recently, Snapchat approached me with an incredible opportunity: they wanted to make me their ‘star girl’ and have me take over the official Snapchat Creators account for a day.
Especially for the takeover, they also invited me to a viewing of the new Tiffany & Co. exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. What’s more, this was an exclusive preview where I got to explore the exhibition a day before it opened to the public. Named ‘Vision and Virtuosity’, the exhibition marks the jewellery brand’s 150th anniversary and showcases 400 objects from the House’s archives, including the script of Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
All the exhibits on show were incredible. In person, I got to see the first ever Tiffany’s box made, as well as a stunning Tanzanite piece. (Did you know, the company was the first to introduce the precious gem to the world in 1968?)
On top of these incredible exhibits, much of the tour was virtual. In fact, I got to virtually try on some of Tiffany’s most iconic pieces. My favourite virtual piece had to be the jaw-dropping, 128.54 carat necklace Beyonce wore for the ‘About Love’ Carters campaign. It felt amazing to try on such a beautiful piece – even if it was a digital recreation!
Another fab piece of tech was an amazing AR lens that, when held up at the gallery exterior, transformed the building into a wall of diamonds. How cool is that!?
Since this was a Tiffany and Co. exhibition, I had to turn up in an amazing look. Thankfully, my glam team was there to help me put together a beautiful ensemble that encapsulated the brand perfectly.
My outfit consisted of a strapless cutout top from Rick Owens (Kim K inspired) paired with a stunning, @jxybelle maxi skirt sourced by @classcorneruk. Together, these two pieces created a dramatic yet classic silhouette! In fact, it was so stunning that all we needed to finish off the look was a pair of @renecaovilla sandals and a textured clutch.
To complement the outfit, my team decided to keep my hair and makeup super classy. I rocked a wig from the @goodhairltd store that the amazing @crownbeauty_22 had styled. They created these beautiful side-swept bangs and clipped parts of my hair back to create a classy, cascading look.
Then, @mahinaartistry dolled me up with her incredible MUA skills. She opted for a fresh and glowing look, applying dreamy blush, brown eyeshadow that was blended impeccably and a gorgeous nude lip to die for! Perfection.
Overall, I was so impressed by everything on show at Tiffany’s exhibition. It officially opens to the public today, so make sure you go and see it – it’s also totally free! Thank you, Snapchat for inviting me along. Also, thank you to my glam team for putting together a show-stopping look for the occasion.
Until Next Time,
Lots of Love, Kika.
