2021 may have been a hectic year, but at least it was filled with incredible ensembles. Each month, I had the chance to experiment with so many different styles by collaborating with talented stylists, hairstylists, and makeup artists. From elegant evening wear to elevated loungewear, I’ve enjoyed seeing my sartorial tastes evolve over time. So, for a bit of fashionable fun, here are some of my finest looks from the past year:

Feeling Like a Queen

At the beginning of 2021, I immersed myself in Ghanaian culture by putting on an eye-catching look styled by @rubeadzgh. They dressed me up in traditional clothes and accessories that made me feel like royalty. From the kaleidoscopic kente print toga to the layered golden jewelry, this entire look was an absolute joy to model.

To complete the outfit, hairstylist @hairbyestylez took my hair back so I could showcase an amazing headpiece. Meanwhile, makeup artist @mzl4wson applied long, luscious lashes and a red lip.

Luxe Lounging

I felt amazing wearing this next look, thanks in no small part to the Savage x Fenty lingerie. I paired the bralette with my Fendi tights which had a similar deep red shade. Since details are important, I then finished the look by adding a patterned Hermes headscarf.

My hair was a stunning sleek wig styled from Goodhair, while @mana.mumin defined my eyes with some deep bronze eyeshadow and full lashes. Overall, it was an apt look to lounge around the house in while sipping my Volcan tequila.

Nothing Like A Trench Coat

In March, I went out and about to capture some IG snaps donning a phenomenal vegan leather trench from @sundarbay. Since trench coats are a wardrobe staple, I had fun pairing it with a few of my favorite luxury pieces. I opted for black Prada boots, trendy Dior sunglasses, and a bright Hermès Kelly bag for a pop of color.

That day, I also had a sleek, ombré Good Hair wig on that was colored by @color.beast and styled by @styledbychi. @kanubeauty elevated my look even further with her makeup skills, giving me gorgeous highlights and a smokey eye.

Can’t Go Wrong With Black

In this striking, black look (gotta match the car😉), I wore gorgeous pieces from Alexander Wang as styled by @janicedaviesthestylist. Since black is the predominant color in this outfit, I wore a mixture of fun textures to keep things interesting. The delicate lace of the bodysuit looked super chic contrast with the cropped leather jacket.

Chic On The Go

When traveling, I enjoy dressing in stylish outfits that don’t compromise comfort. An easy way to achieve this kind of look is by putting on two garments in the same color. For this outfit in particular, I wore a rosemary green top with a matching pair of joggers from Pangaia. Believe me, put on a set like that and you’ll feel put together instantly.

Additionally, I wore Yeezy Mafia footwear, a mini Louis Vuitton crossbody bag, and, finally, I kept my face makeup-free as I don’t like to wear any as I travel. Though, I do like to apply baobab oil from @randrluxury on my face to keep my skin hydrated throughout the day.

Inspired By Audrey

August was the month I hosted an evening event in collaboration with Pragnell. Throughout the night—which featured a showcase of rare jewels and fine timepieces—I wore an outfit inspired by Audrey Hepburn that made me feel like a classic movie star.

My black v-neck dress from Self Portrait had two beautiful bows down the bodice. Also, the dress was styled with a three-tier emerald necklace that dated back to the 1920s. Since I wanted to keep the look simple (in a chic, not a boring way), my hair was swept back into an understated bun.

All About Those Nudes

In December, I had a fabulous time in Paris for my birthday. One of this year’s outfits was a cozy and refined daytime ensemble. First off, I paired my tan, long line & Other Stories coat with the coziest polo knit from Zara. Then, I added a pair of cream, faux leather trousers from Nanushka.

After putting together the base of my outfit, it was time to mix in some cool, slightly trendier pieces to create a more contemporary feel. To do this, I put on the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low Dior (found via Proxyeed Lagos) and a small reverse bag from the Telfar x UGG collaboration. Altogether, all the pieces created a classy yet cool vibe that is ideal for city life.

Kika It’s Your Birthday!

My last pick has to be the look for my Parisian birthday evening. My stylist @jxybelle went all out with my outfit, putting me in an incredible, black backless dress encrusted with dazzling embellishments. On top of that, I wore extravagant Jimmy Choo Averly heels and a matching bag in Fuschia.

For hair, I wore a Good Hair wig customized by @eugenze and styled by @fannybeauty. Lastly, @rousseb.makeup transformed my eyes with a glam, smokey makeup look.

And there you have it! Which one of these 2021 outfits was your favorite? Let me know in the comments. Also, make sure your eyes are peeled for more fabulous ensembles in the new year (Trust me, you won’t be disappointed).

Until Next Time,

Lots of Love, Kika.
