Thanks to brands like Pangaia, dressing in a chic yet casual way is so easy. With their extensive catalogue, they have plenty of joggers, hoodies, and t-shirts to choose from that are ideal for everyday wear. However, your options don’t stop there. The brand recently expanded their collection by releasing an all new sustainable denim range! As part of the launch celebration, I was selected to be a part of their press release, and even had the opportunity to try on these new pieces for a fun photoshoot.
My photographer @nikodays snapped stylish shots of me wearing the Nettle Denim Jacket from the collection. Since denim jackets are a classic piece that’ll never go out of style, I loved Pangaia’s fresh take on the wardrobe staple. The fabric (made from Himalayan nettle and organic cotton) felt durable and high-quality. Also, the natural indigo dye on the denim gave the jacket a stunning rich colour. If you’re looking for a piece of outerwear that is made to last, then this is it!
To style the jacket, I paired it with a signature hoodie, Pangaia’s straight leg jeans, and the ‘Travis Scott x Fragment’ Air Jordan 1 Lows. I was particularly excited about the trainers as they’re really exclusive. The white, black, and royal blue colour palette looked perfect against the Pangaia denim. Overall, the entire look felt like a love letter to ‘90s style streetwear.
Since this was a collaboration, a few amazing creatives came along to help me out with hair and makeup. For my hair, I ended up rocking a 7 year old, blonde lace wig that was transformed into a braided hairstyle by @eugenze. These amazing braids are a match made in heaven with any street style look, and they’re also great for days when you don’t feel like doing much with your hair.
@mahinamakeup then created a beautiful makeup look to match. She opted for a 90s style brown lined lip with a glossy centre and some golden and brown eyeshadow that was exquisitely blended. I felt so glamorous once the look was complete!
Of course, I can’t round-up this post without mentioning a little bit more about the sustainable side of Pangaia’s collection. The denim contains Himalayan nettle, a natural resource that uses way less water than cotton. This material is also regenerative, meaning that the fabric can be recycled at the end of its cycle. Pretty cool right?
As it’s a win-win for your wardrobe and the planet, definitely check out Pangaia’s new range if you need new denim clothing in your life.
Until Next Time,
Lots of Love, Kika.
