In a recent shoot, I wore a striking ensemble incorporating pieces from some of the best black streetwear brands around. With the help of stylist @classcorneruk, we put together an eye-catching look that was comfortable, stylish, and ideal for London life.

First off, the outfit was centred around two striking pieces from Corteiz (CRTZRTW). If you’re not familiar with the brand, they’re known for their highly coveted streetwear drops advertised on social media and through word of mouth. For this look, I wore Corteiz’s cargo pants and a matching tank top. These pieces both featured the brand’s iconic Alcatraz logo that is screen printed on in a bold, contrasting red colour.

Next up, I wore Daily Paper’s Cropped Epuff Puffer Jacket. In hindsight, it made perfect sense to feature a piece from the brand in this look. Recently, they’ve made great strides within the black streetwear scene, especially since they opened their London flagship store last summer. On top of that, they’ve always been great at incorporating African culture into their contemporary designs. I love to see it!

We went to @blkdynamit.snkr to help us source a pair of trainers that would complete the look. He hooked us up with the “not for resale” Jordan 1s. These kicks had an incredible white, black, and red colour scheme that complemented the Corteiz pieces to a tee. Also, my beloved black matte G63 had to make a cameo as it matched my outfit perfectly. The street wear vibe was impeccable.

For makeup, @mahinamakeup brought out my skin’s natural glow with stunning highlights, a creamy brown eyeshadow, and her signature glossy lip. For hair, I rocked one of my current favourite hairstyles from @eugenze, who turned my 7 year old, Good Hair blonde lace wig into showstopping braids. This was definitely the look’s finishing touch. Class Corner said that they contrasted with my outfit amazingly as it added a hint of femininity.

So, how do you think the look turned out? I felt honoured wearing these special pieces celebrating the best of black streetwear brands.

Until Next Time,

Lots of Love, Kika.
