On a sunny day in September, in a stunning stately Italianate Georgian mansion, surrounded by acres of private parkland in Buckinghamshire – one of my oldest and closest friends tied the knot with the love of her life.
Rachel and I have been friends since we were 11 years old… I don’t want you to work out my age, so we’ll leave it at that, lol. She is one of my closest friends and doubles as my personal branding guru and I had the honor of being one of her 10 bridesmaids.
Her wedding was absolutely beautiful and perfectly intimate, and the venue made Buckinghamshire feel like I was in the middle of Tuscany – the perfect backdrop to the perfect celebration. With green, pink, and white flowers, the decorations were just right and perfectly tasteful – not too much, not too little.
Rachel wanted her bridesmaids to be like mini brides in all white, so we sorted out our dresses almost a year ago. But what’s a wedding without a mishap or two to get your adrenaline pumping for the big day, ha-ha. Long story short, I had a wardrobe malfunction and had to get my dress re-made for me within 48 hours. A massive shout out to the amazing ‘houseofeliora’ on Instagram.
Mishaps aside, it was an amazing and beautiful celebration of love. For my hair, I opted for a low sleek ponytail to draw attention to my face and Eugenie came through for me as always. shoulders were bare, as my dress was an off-the-shoulder number. Rachel gave all the bridesmaids beautiful Baby’s-breath bouquets to match our white dresses. My makeup was a soft and elegant beat, courtesy of Mana. Although all our dresses were white satin, each of the bridesmaids opted for different designs which gave a subtle but unique feel to the day.
Moments like these are things that money can’t buy! The day was truly magical, like something out of a fairy-tale. I was so overjoyed that I had the honor of celebrating a friend who I hold so dear to my heart.
Cheers to many more highs in our lives, full of love always!
Until next time,
