Hey everyone! Today, I’ve got new photos to show you from my latest shoot; all taken by the amazing @bevonburke. To make things even more exciting, I have not one, but two stylish outfits to share. Yet again, an amazing team came together to help me create some memorable streetwear looks, this time featuring another cool brand I’ve not yet talked about on the blog (so make sure you keep reading!) Now, on to the outfit details:
In this post, I’m shining a spotlight on @carsicko, an impressive streetwear brand known for its eye-catching logo prints. The creator of this brand is one talented guy: a footballer, businessman, and a model who’s worked for the likes of Burberry! I was touched that he personally came round to drop off pieces for the shoot. After that, Jada from @classcorneruk used her styling skills to put these pieces into action.
I wore Carsicko’s signature hoodie and matching track pants for the first look (because who can resist a matching set!?) Both pieces were a total dream to wear. They’re breathable since they’re made from 100% cotton fabric, and they have adjustable strings you can wear as loose or as tightly as you’d like. I defo recommend these garments for their comfort!
Standing out against the all-black set were the highly coveted ‘What the Paul’ Nike Dunk Low sneakers that @proxyeedlagos sourced for me. Their mismatched colour-scheme may be loud, but it’s the perfect way to add a touch of personality to a look. I thought the clashing colours and funky graphics were super fun.
For our second look, we opted for a cool denim ensemble. Jada centred this outfit around Carsicko’s signature logo printed jeans in black. The fun logo graphic that covered the jeans really caught my eye; they’re such a statement! This piece also featured cool design details like white contrast stitching and a distressed hem for some edge.
The jeans were paired with a Carsicko racerback vest top — super soft and breathable for the skin — and one of their most popular items, the Carsicko beanie in white. To round up the look, Jada picked out the Rick Owens x Converse DRKSHDW sneakers, featuring a cargo pocket detail on the outside and a neat zip detail on the side.
Next up, @mana.mumin was there to apply a gorgeous full face of makeup. To draw attention to my lips, she took out her favourite lip gloss colour from @destineebeautyy in the shade of Wifee. Now, this gloss is one of their best selling products for a reason. It creates a beautiful shine and keeps your lips nicely moisturised. To set my makeup in place, Mana spritzed my face with 3 different setting sprays. Such a pro!
Last but not least, @frontalbytolani worked on my hair, styling a one-year-old @goodhairltd wig to perfection. She made the lace hairline look so natural, effortlessly blending the wig into my forehead. It was so satisfying to watch! Overall, we ended up with a sleek, straight hairstyle featuring a pop of colour from some blonde highlights.
So what look did you like the most? Honestly, I can’t get enough of these Carsicko streetwear pieces. They’re comfy, cool, and were the perfect brand to feature in this shoot. Thanks again for bringing them over to me!
Until Next Time,
Lots of Love, Kika.
